Our fund raising round was not successful.  As a result, IDB will be going off line and into cold storage.  If our competitors should stumble, I may re-active the site in the future but for now, we're turning out the lights.

I had planned to go off-line on April 4th.  Due to some important and unplanned changes in our maintenance schedule, I am now bumping that up to next Tuesday morning, March 27th, 2018.  PM 'admin' if you need to reach me.

You should use the next 5 days to find a new home for your community.

Running IDB has been fun over the years and I hope you enjoyed your time here as well.  Sincerely,  Paul

P.S. News on IDB Funding -- this is now on it's own page to clean up the site a bit.

Announcing a new website from the IDB team

Gang, if you like the IDB site and platform, I strongly encourage you to give our new site a look:

The purpose of DiscussionSquare (dSquare for short) is to be a place where anyone can go to create a board for their work, their hobby, their interest, their friends, their family.  Think about a private board for your friends and/or family.  I have one and it's great!  The Calendar makes a big difference.  Think about a board for your fantasy team.  Think about a board for a committee you serve on.  There is no limit! I expect a lot of boards to be Private.  That's 100% good if they are!

Since you know the IDB platform today, you have a leg up. All the same stuff is at dSquare including our new Calendar and Tagging features as well as all the stuff you like about IDB (public/private/semi-private boards, notifications, PMs, you name it, it's there).

So, go there, request a board, send some emails and get the invites rolling and let's get the site kicking!  And me help spread the word at IDB and other investing sites you frequent.

Also, "Two sites? (IDB and dSquare)" you ask?  Yes.  We can market a general site more broadly than we can market an investor site.  dSquare will be huge over time.
